Ahoy matey! I wouldn't be surprised if you've had a similar experience to the following Reader. You find a business or entrepreneur you like so . . . 👣You head over to a social profile and see a few content pieces 👣You decide to check out their website 👣You land on the “home” page that reads like a sales page (btw, it’s great to have an offer in your home page but don’t forget to tell people who you are and what they gain from being there) 👣You go to the offers, click on the button to find out more and it brings you back to the same page. So you leave none the wiser after this visit. Frankly, if it becomes a hassle to find info or get in contact, you'll probably leave as most people will. Taking into account these interactions (aka touchpoints) and the copy needed along the way is key to creating a smooth client journey resulting in a great experience. Here’s where you gotta think like a pirate and map out the journey ‘cause if your "map" isn’t clear, your audience might get lost along the way, missing out on the wealth your offers provide. Remember, there's no such thing as a single touch point (specially in today's virtually hyperconnected world). Every single piece of content is a touch point. Every single piece of copy is a touch point. You're either bringing more awareness to your brand or more awareness to your offers. Now, with so many potential entry points, the client journey in its entirety can get elaborate. But for today’s Monday Moves, focus on your core offer (or one of your offers) and map out the journey by considering the following:
This is part of the planning that goes into my launch packages because “build it and they will come” isn’t 100% true. You gotta build it and give them the map for them to come. As you do this, remember that your client journey will evolve over time as your offers develop and your business grows. But it’s something that needs to be established whether you have 1 offer or 1000. ✌️Elizabeth How to work with me:

When I say I got into an argument with ChatGPT, I mean literally Reader. Obviously, it wasn’t an all out shouting match as you can imagine, but it was an argument of sorts. I've been experimenting with ChatGPT (and other AI writing tools) since last year, and a few months back, I was bored and got curious and wondered . . . “How would ChatGPT respond to an unrealistic question?” So I jumped on the computer and asked: The conversation went on as I asked questions like "what if I really want it...
As I was rewatching a masterclasses from Steph Tuss, I started to think of all I've learned about persuasive writing over the years. And,Reader, I came to the conclusion that all sales come to these three questions: What do you want? What's in the way of you attaining that? What needs to change for you to attain it? All other questions are either follow-ups to clarify or to expand on these questions. Unsurprisingly, these are the same questions we would ask ourselves if we wanted to make a...
Reader If you caught last week's email, you know understanding our clients' pain can help us offer better support. But after identifying the pain and providing a solution, what happens? This is where pleasure points come in. And I cannot talk about pleasure without mentioning Audre Lorde's seminal essay "The Uses of the Erotic: The Erotic as Power" (listen to her reading). Among many points, she discusses the erotic beyond sex as the power to feel joy deeply. Which brings me to copywriting...
